We are very excited to announce our Gallery show at the Saxonburg Area Artist Cooperative Gallery. We want to show everyone the versatility of our medium.
Any guild member is welcome to participate with up to 5 pieces. The pieces should be clearly labeled with your name, and the price of the piece or a NFS designation. Any props or display pieces that you want to be used with your work. Also any special instructions should be included.
We are asking each artist to provide a short bio or artist statement, a photo would be nice but not necessary, to display with your work.
You can bring your pieces to the next clay day at Stephen Foster Community Center on February 20, 2011 well wrapped and boxed.
Installation for the show will be on Sunday February 27 at 10:00 a.m. Participation in this is also totally voluntary. The gallery has shelves and tables, benches and other things we will be able to use for display.
The show is scheduled to open on Saturday March 5 with a reception 6:00p.m. until 8: 00p.m. The show will close on March 26.
If you have any questions please either call Barbara Kazor 724-681-7611, or email at Dacareberb@aol.com, Barbara.kaczor@yahoo.com
April 19th, 2009
This full day program focused on the unique creation of a mixed medium "house" or personal "shrine"aspects of the spirit of your, family, culture, heritage, loves, passions, attitudes...
We Came with images, transfers, papers, clay sheets, acrylic transparancies, ideas, and a plan to got started with this full day of creativity.
November opened with a huge event for our group. As part of our mission to inform people and promote the medium of polymer clay, we had our first gallery show, Polymer Journey, November 1st through the 15th, 2008 at Planet Art Gallery in Mt. Lebanon, PA.

Sculptural Book
For the third time, April brought together PPCG and the Pittsburgh Book Arts Collective. Our collaborative meetings have resulted in unique and cherished works. At this event we created a sculptural book with a focus on surface techniques. We had a wonderful time and learned a lot from each other.
Look at some of the creations from Lily, Magda, Laura and Wendy.
We are looking forward to next year collaboration!

PMC and Polymer Clay

In January 2008 precious metal clay artist Donna Penoyer held a two-day PMC workshop for our members. Because of the positive response to this workshop, our guild has purchased a Paragon SC2 kiln. Now our guild members will be able to incorporate PMC in their polymer creations.
